INSURANCE STATEMENT
MTC Property Management maintains a comprehensive suite of insurance policies that allows us to take on larger commercial and public projects in addition to private residential work. This gives us cover across our range of business activities including pruning, tree felling and tree removal as well as lawn mowing, gardening and ground keeping duties across private, public and commercial properties.
Our $5,000,000 Public Liability Cover and $10,000,000 custom added Vehicle Cover give cause for confidence even in the unlikely event an accident occurs. Our insurance is underwritten by a panel of insurers led by IAG New Zealand Ltd. (IAG).
Independent ratings agency Standard & Poor’s undertakes a regular assessment of IAG's business to provide an overall financial strength rating. IAG has received a financial strength rating of AA from Standard & Poor's (Australia) Pty Limited, an approved rating agency. A rating of AA means IAG has a 'very strong' claims-paying ability.

FACTORS THAT MAY REDUCE WORK RISK
In the delivery of our services, there may at times be environmental factors which restrict our ability to operate safely, as we seek to operate within the MTC Health and Safety policies. The most common of these is weather though these factors are numerous.
They include:
-
Weather events elevating risk
-
People or animals in the area where we are delivering services elevating risk (eg. Children or Pets)
-
Traffic in the area where we are delivering services elevating risk
-
Other contractor or work activity in the area where we are delivering services elevating risk
-
Limited or restricted access to the area where we are delivering services
In cases where we deem that we cannot deliver services safely as defined by our Health and Safety Policies, we will halt services and inform customers as soon as possible of the reason for stopping work. We will work together for an expedient solution to the elevated risk situation to enable work to restart safely as soon as is practical.
